Time

Time

is a funny thing.

One moment is here—

then it’s gone.

Where does time go?

Does it get sucked into oblivion 

after being warped into a black hole?

Does time return

with the regeneration of old souls?

Does time slow down 

for those who have the will to stop it?

Is time a person, place, or thing?

Is it an object you can hold—

or something from of old…

Time

is not in space.

Time

is not reincarnation.

Time

cannot be stopped

by a single soul.

Time

is not derived from a noun.

Time

cannot be touched.

So then, what can we say about time?

The first time, I thought I had it right.

The next time, I knew I was all wrong.

The last time, I thought it to be true.

This time, I’m ready.

Next time is waiting.

The final time

is unknown.

No one can fathom how time began, continues, or will one day end.

One thing I know for sure:

time has a face.

One day we will look into His eyes—

and we will know the glory of time

as the glory of God

through Christ our Lord.

Time has an expiration date.

So do we.

Hello Again

Well hello! It’s nice to be back after another couple years with no posts.

Rewinding to explain…I used to have a blog in college that I started for an English class. Being myself who enjoys writing, I came back to it later after college and started adding new posts including my song lyrics, poetry, random musings, etc. Well long story short, after I lost my college email due to their trying to reduce costs last fall, I lost access to all of my old emails and accounts associated with that email, blogger being one of them. Sadly, in the short notice my school gave me to transition all my websites to my new email address, I forgot about this one (there were so many…). Kind of sad because some of the poetry I had written and posted on my old blog, I wouldn’t even be sure if I could ever find again. Some were written on paper years ago and then transferred to blogger in later years. I’m hoping I can recover some of those someday when I go through boxes of old memorabilia and things I’ve saved. Here’s to hoping…

All that said…I’m back! So “hello again” to any old viewers who may be interested in reading again. 

I’d like to focus this time solely on positive, encouraging messages that may benefit the reader in some way. I suppose this will include some autobiographical anecdotes from my life. However, the intent of this blog is less of a personal journal I want the inter-web to see and more of way to express life, love, faith, hope, and restoration to my readers. That is really all for this post. Just an initial explanatory story I guess. I will start the focus of my writing in the coming posts.
